Report of Essay Contest
at Raman Science Centre, Nagpur by Engineers’ Forum, Nagpur on Sunday, 24.8.2014


The Essay Contest for the Sciences Students of XI & XII, was arranged jointly by Engineer’s Forum Nagpur and Raman Science Centre, Nagpur on 24 August 2014, at Raman Science Centre. Nagpur, as an activity of Engineer’s Day Celebration.

The Subject was “Space Technology for Nation Building & for the Benefit of Common People.”

All efforts were made by both organisers to get maximum participants. We got nomination of 129 students from about 50 Junior Colleges.

Our 30 Members also reached the venue by 2 p.m. and did the work of registration, sitting arrangement, writing arrangement etc. Few students came at the eleventh hour and were admitted. From already nominated list about 30 students did not come. Total 102 Boys / Girls participated in Essay Contest.

Shri Shinde briefed the student about the purpose, prizes and rules of the Essay Contest. Shri Vilas Choudhari of RSC also spoke briefly, Students were informed to come again to same venue on 6/9/14 at 4.00 pm, when result will be declared and consolation prizes given. The contest started at 2.50 pm and ended at 3.50 pm The students were give refreshment packets from Ajit Bakary. The committee members of EFN were introduced to office bearers of Raman Science Centre, Nagpur and photographs taken. An interview was taken by the local “Awaz TV”, which will be shown on Local TV Channel. Shri Tayade gave vote of thanks and then all the membes had refreshment. All were very Happy that the event was a grand success.
